The Industry 4.0 Theme Park turned out to be a crowd-puller at the last METAV. Reason enough to reprise the joint project of the trade periodical mav and the fair’s organiser VDW at the METAV 2018: at the 2ndmav Industry 4.0Theme Park in Düsseldorf from 20 to 24 February 2018, numerous national and international technology leaders, plus prestigious research institutions, will be spotlighting successfully implemented problem solutions for digitalised manufacturing.
This interdisciplinary topic, which up to then had been only sporadically addressed at metalworking trade fairs, and distributed among several different halls, was showcased for the first time in a centrally concentrated form at a trade fair in 2016. This meant the joint stand at the METAV was correspondingly well attended, as was the accompanying specialist forum. At the EMO Hannover 2017, this initiative was progressed in a significantly expanded form – and was likewise enthusiastically received by the numerous visitors involved, many of them from abroad.
METAV to showcase practical solutions for digitalised manufacturing
At the METAV 2018, the specialist forum will again be providing its visitors with plentiful food for thought and examples of best practice with presentations by users for users on how specifically they can benefit in their production operations from Industry 4.0. The thematic arc extends from simulation, programming and networking, then machines and tools, all the way through to identification, monitoring and automation. High-performing component manufacturers can in conjunction with vendors of machine tools, metal-cutting tools, CAD/CAM solutions, clamping systems, control systems, etc., raise productivity to a new level. Integration, and the resultant synergies, enable entirely new business models and opportunities to be created.
The 2nd mav Industry 4.0 Theme Park at the METAV brings together these competences, and enables the visitors to the fair to obtain first-hand information on the potentials of digitalisation for their production processes. A generously dimensioned joint stand in Hall 17, and the individual stands of the exhibitors, will once again offer an opportunity for networking and exchanging news and views.
