Peeling instead of Grinding!

Lameco custom manufactures peelable precision parts to customers’ drawings.

It's the ideal solution to compensate for manufacturing tolerances in mechanical assemblies.

Peel shims are foil laminates available in many different materials, & they have better mechanical properties than solid parts.

Peeling away the foils delivers the desired thickness.

Unlike common shims, our easily peeled precision parts are prepared by layer removal:

• Minimizes work accidents- no burrs!
• Easy peeling of layers & a high precision result
• Any shape is possible
• Delivers very tight tolerances

8 different peelable materials have been patented so far, such as:

• Intercomposite®: A composite material: 2x as sturdy & 2x as light as Aluminum
• X.Fiber®: High-resistance peelable precision parts of compound material, available in fiber glass & carbon.
• DuoPeel®: Visible distinction of different layer’s thicknesses by Bi-Lamination of metal-coated foils.
