Based on its long-lasting experience and expertise, the South-German Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH develops and manufactures CNC controlled multi-axis HSC machining centres. The product portfolio of Handtmann is consistently developed, according to markets needs. Handtmann nowadays offers four product lines, each with a variety of customized solutions, for versatile applications. Handtmann product lines are profile machining centres PBZ®, universal machining centres UBZ®, high portal machining centres GANTRY® and the latest product line, horizontal machining centres HBZ®. The aerospace industry, in particular, who is demanding power and precision at highest
level, trusts in Handtmann quality.

Furthermore, mould- and die makers, metalworking industry in general, and the automotive industry are convinced by the machine concepts made by Handtmann. Handtmann offers a wide range, spanning from standard products to customized solutions and is flexible to offer a broad field of machines for machining diverging materials, as e.g. composite, aluminium and steel, as well as titanium.

Four models of the PBZ®-line cover any application in profile machining; from light 4-axis machining of profiles to fully automated serial production and up to machining of solid material. For machining requirements of compact parts as well as of large-volume work pieces, the product line UBZ® is predestined. The modular design, on which all of the centres are based, permits the assembly of sophisticated, tried-and-tested basic modules in order to tailor the machining centre to the customer’s individual needs. The four machine models of the GANTRY®-line represent the largest machining centres by Handtmann, so far. Table sizes up to almost 50 meters in length establish these 5-axes centres in the world of flexible machining of large workpieces. The machines are guaranteeing constant mass ratio, independent from workpiece size, and despite of extremely dynamic movements of the travelling portal. The latest series of Handtmann A-Punkt Automation – the horizontal machining centres HBZ® - specially directs to machining processes with high material removal rates, as chips immediately fall down from the workpiece into a tray, where efficient chip conveyors forward the chips out of the workroom directly. Top of the range currently is the HBZ® AeroCell® with palette sizes up to 7x2 meters. The aerospace industry requires large working envelopes in combination with high metal removal rates, which easily may exceed 90%, thus high spindle power and dynamic movements. Being an all-rounder with focus on budget as well as on versatility, the HBZ® CompactCell completes the HBZ® product line. Palette sizes up to 4x1 meter offer a wide range of applications.
